Buying & Authenticity

1. Is Dr. Pen Beauty an authorized retailer, and are its products genuine?

Answer: Dr. Pen Beauty states that it is an authorized retailer of Dr. Pen products. The store sells Dr. Pen devices and model-compatible replacement cartridges and provides a product-authenticity page explaining how customers can check the security label and authentication code. Customers should always confirm the model, packaging, seller information, and verification label before use.

2. How can I verify the authenticity of a Dr. Pen product?

Answer: Check the product packaging for the security label, scratch the label to reveal the QR code or authentication number, and follow the verification instructions on Dr. Pen Beauty's Product Authenticity page. Do not use an item if its packaging, seal, serial information, or verification result appears suspicious.

3. Which Dr. Pen model should I choose?

Answer: Choose based on cartridge compatibility, control layout, power or battery configuration, grip, available replacement cartridges, and the instructions supplied with the device. First-time buyers should prioritize a model with clear controls and readily available cartridges. Existing owners should compare cartridge families before upgrading.

Models & Cartridge Compatibility

4. Which cartridge fits my Dr. Pen device?

Answer: Cartridges are model-specific. M8S, A8S, A9, and A11 share one cartridge family; M8 and M7S use their compatible family; A1, A6, A6S, A10, and M9 use model-specific cartridge families; H3 and H5 share a Hydra cartridge family; H6 uses H6 cartridges; and Q1S and Bio Pen Q2 share a cartridge family. Always verify the exact model name on the device and product page before ordering.

5. Are Dr. Pen cartridges reusable?

Answer: No. Needle cartridges are intended for one treatment session only. Use a new, sealed cartridge for each person and each session, and dispose of it safely after use. Reusing a cartridge can increase contamination and infection risk.

6. What do 12-pin, 18-pin, 24-pin, 36-pin, 42-pin, and nano cartridges mean?

Answer: The number describes the tip configuration and contact-point density, not a guaranteed result. Lower and higher pin counts differ in coverage and feel, while nano tips are generally intended for surface-level cosmetic contact rather than deeper needling. Availability and intended use vary by device, so follow the cartridge description and device instructions rather than treating pin count as a universal treatment prescription.

7. Can I use third-party or incompatible cartridges?

Answer: Use only cartridges specifically listed as compatible with your exact device model. An incompatible cartridge may fit poorly, operate inconsistently, leak, or damage the device. If the model is unclear, contact customer support before ordering.

8. How should I store my device and unopened cartridges?

Answer: Store the device and cartridges in a clean, cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, heat, moisture, and children. Keep cartridges sealed in their original sterile packaging until use. Do not use a cartridge if the seal is broken, the packaging is damaged, the cartridge is wet or contaminated, or the stated expiration date has passed.

Responsible Use & Safety

9. Is at-home microneedling suitable for everyone?

Answer: No. Suitability depends on the device, intended use, skin condition, medications, and individual risk factors. The FDA states that it has not authorized microneedling medical devices for over-the-counter sale and recommends trained healthcare providers for devices that penetrate living skin. Seek professional guidance before any procedure that punctures the skin.

10. Can I use a Dr. Pen device on active acne, irritated skin, or open wounds?

Answer: Do not use a needling device over active infection, open wounds, inflamed or sunburned skin, active acne lesions, rashes, cold sores, or any painful or compromised area. A qualified healthcare professional should assess persistent skin conditions before microneedling is considered.

11. What should I do before using a Dr. Pen device?

Answer: Read the device manual, wash your hands, cleanse the intended area, inspect the device, and open a new sealed cartridge immediately before use. Do not touch the cartridge tip after opening, do not share cartridges, and clean reusable device surfaces only as directed by the manufacturer.

12. What should I do after microneedling?

Answer: Follow aftercare instructions from a qualified healthcare professional or the device labeling. Treated skin may be more sensitive to sunlight and skincare ingredients. Avoid picking or rubbing the area and avoid products that cause stinging or irritation. Seek medical advice for severe pain, spreading redness, pus, fever, persistent swelling, or other unexpected reactions.

13. How often should I use a microneedling device?

Answer: There is no single safe schedule for every person or device. Frequency depends on whether the product penetrates the skin, the treatment area, individual recovery, and professional guidance. Do not repeat a session while the skin remains irritated, and do not assume more frequent use will improve results.

14. Can I use serums or other products while microneedling?

Answer: Do not use a microneedling device to deliver cosmetics, drugs, vitamin solutions, or blood products into the skin unless a qualified healthcare professional is using an appropriately authorized device for an approved purpose. The FDA states that it has not cleared microneedling devices for use with another product. Follow professional aftercare advice for products applied after a procedure.

15. When should I speak with a healthcare professional before microneedling?

Answer: Seek professional advice if you have a bleeding or clotting disorder, take blood-thinning medication, have diabetes, immune suppression, eczema, psoriasis, vitiligo, active infection, a history of keloid scarring, recent cosmetic procedures, prescription acne treatment, pregnancy or nursing concerns, or any condition that may affect healing.

Shipping & Orders

16. Does Dr. Pen Beauty offer free shipping in the United States?

Answer: Yes. The current Shipping Policy lists free standard shipping for U.S. orders. International delivery availability, timing, duties, and taxes may vary by destination and should be confirmed at checkout.

17. How quickly are orders processed and delivered?

Answer: The current Shipping Policy states that orders are processed within one business day after payment confirmation. Standard U.S. delivery is estimated at three to eight business days after shipment. Weekends, holidays, weather, carrier operations, customs, and peak demand can affect timing.

18. Can I cancel an order or change the shipping address?

Answer: An order can be cancelled before it ships. Contact support as soon as possible with the order number and checkout email. Address changes cannot be guaranteed after shipment, so review the address carefully before completing checkout.

Review the complete Shipping Policy before ordering because destinations, services, and timing can change.

Returns, Warranty, Payments & Support

19. What is the Dr. Pen Beauty return policy?

Answer: The current Refund Policy provides a 30-day return window from the date the order is received. Change-of-mind items should be unused, sealed, in original packaging, and include all accessories. Return shipping is generally the customer's responsibility for change-of-mind returns, and an approved opened or unsealed return may be subject to a 20% restocking fee. Sale items and gift cards are listed as non-returnable. The published Refund Policy controls if terms change.

20. What warranty does Dr. Pen Beauty provide?

Answer: Dr. Pen Beauty currently provides a one-year limited warranty from the purchase date for eligible products. It covers defects in materials or workmanship under normal use and does not cover accidental damage, misuse, unauthorized repair or modification, or normal wear and tear. Contact support before returning an item for warranty review.

21. Which payment methods are accepted, and how are refunds issued?

Answer: Available checkout methods may include Visa, Mastercard, American Express, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Shop Pay, depending on device and location. Some orders may require payment verification. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method, and the bank or payment provider may need additional processing time.

22. What should I do if an item is damaged, incorrect, or missing, and how do I contact support?

Answer: Inspect the package promptly and contact support at support@drpenbeauty.co if an item is damaged, defective, incorrect, or missing. Include the order number, checkout email, a description of the issue, clear product photos, and photos of the shipping box and label. Keep the packaging until the claim is reviewed. Business hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, UTC+8.
